Purchase tickets to your Navitat adventure and/or check-in directly inside the Ijams Visitor Center at the Navitat desk. 

Parking is available at the Ijams Visitor Center and in overflow parking lots along Island Home Avenue.

Direction to Navitat Knoxville from Downtown Knoxville via Gay Street

  1. Take the Gay Street bridge south and turn left onto Sevier Avenue.
  2. Follow Sevier Avenue. After passing through two traffic lights turn left onto Island Home Avenue.
  3. Follow Island Home Avenue, which turns right by the entrance to Island Home Park.
  4. Follow green directional signs to Ijams, approximately 1.5 miles on your left.

Directions to Navitat Knoxville from Interstate 40W

  1. Take James White Pkwy Exit 388A
  2. Continue on two left lanes down James White Parkway
  3. Cross over the TN River and take the Sevier Ave./Hillwood Dr. exit
  4. Turn Left onto Sevier Ave. (turns into Hillwood Dr.)
  5. Turn Right onto Island Home Ave. (at bottom of hill)
  6. Ijams is approximately 1 mile on the Left

Directions to Navitat Knoxville from Interstate 40E

  1. Take James White Pkwy Exit 388A
  2. Merge onto James White Pkwy.
  3. Cross over the TN River and take the Sevier Ave./Hillwood Dr. exit
  4. Turn Left onto Sevier Ave. (turns into Hillwood Dr.)
  5. Turn Right onto Island Home Ave. (at bottom of hill)
  6. Ijams is approximately 1 mile on the Left
